Finding a way in through Bangun’s son Uco, Rama must hunt for information linking Bangun with police force corruption. THE ANGRIEST MAN IN BROOKLYN – Lionsgate

Some people have bad days. Henry Altmann (Williams) has one every day. Always unhappy and angry at the world including everyone in it, Henry sits impatiently at the doctor’s office when he is finally seen by Dr. Sharon Gill (Kunis). Sharon, who is enduring her own bad day, reveals that Henry has a brain aneurysm. This news makes Henry even angrier, yelling at Sharon he demands to know how much time he has left. Faced with Henry’s anger and insults, Sharon abruptly tells him he has only 90 minutes. Shocked and reeling by this news, Henry storms out of the office leaving Sharon stunned by what she has just done in a lapse of judgment. As Sharon goes on a city-wide search, Henry struggles with his diagnosis, determined to make amends with everyone he has hurt in his life.

FOREVER FEMALE – Olive Films

Sir James Barrie’s whimsical play Rosalind was updated and urbanized as the 1953 film Forever Female. Ginger Rogers plays a veteran Broadway star who has optioned a play written by William Holden. Though on the less sunny side of 40, Rogers expects to play the leading role, that of a 19 year old girl. Producer Paul Douglas–who also happens to be Rogers’ husband–insists that Holden alter the age of the main character. Meanwhile, iron-willed ingenue Patricia Crowley, who is far more suited to the part than Rogers, begins her own campaign to win the role. Far more enjoyable than the plot mechanics of Forever Female are the sly showbiz inside jokes, courtesy of screenwriters Julius and Philip Epstein.

 

THE OTHER LOVE – Olive Films

Dr. Will Caster (Johnny Depp) is the foremost researcher in the field of Artificial Intelligence, working to create a sentient machine that combines the collective intelligence of everything ever known with the full range of human emotions. His highly controversial experiments have made him famous, but they have also made him the prime target of anti-technology extremists who will do whatever it takes to stop him. However, in their attempt to destroy Will, they inadvertently become the catalyst for him to succeed-to be a participant in his own transcendence. For his wife Evelyn (Rebecca Hall) and best friend Max Waters (Paul Bettany), both fellow researchers, the question is not if they can…but if they should. Their worst fears are realized as Will’s thirst for knowledge evolves into a seemingly omnipresent quest for power, to what end is unknown. The only thing that is becoming terrifyingly clear is there may be no way to stop him.

 

SHOGUN – CBS Paramount

Their forbidden, ill-fated romance–and Blackthorne’s total assimilation into Japanese culture–is set against political intrigue as Toranaga prepares for the inevitable showdown with Ishido, and Blackthorne’s growing influence threatens the local Jesuits who had built up a lucrative trade monopoly.

Martin Sheen, Matthew Modine and George Coe lead a cast of eccentric characters who rebel against authority in this wonderfully animated and poignant comedy for adults. The story opens with former bank manager Emilio being dispatched to a retirement home by his family. His new roommate is a wily wheeler-dealer named Miguel, who cheerfully swindles small amounts of cash from the more befuddled residents but is also full of handy insider tips that are crucial to survival. Like One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest in an old folks home, we are introduced to daily pill regimens, electric gates, and nighttime joyrides, as the reality of Emilio’s future life begins to sink in. Using hand-drawn animation, Wrinkles moves freely between the inmates’ daily routines and their more colorful, dementia-induced fantasies, leaving plenty of room for both tears and laughter as it pokes pointed fun at society’s attitude towards the elderly.

 

RIO 2 – Fox

WWE: PAYBACK 2014 – WWE

Following the excitement of the inaugural edition of Payback in 2013, get ready for more action-packed matches in the 2nd ever Payback, coming again from the Allstate Arena in Rosemont, Illinois!  Memorable matches from the 2013 event included a triple-threat match for the Intercontinental Title between Wade Barrett, Curtis Axel, and The Miz, as well as AJ Lee winning her first Divas Championship over Kaitlyn, and John Cena retaining the WWE Championship over Ryback in a Three Stages of Hell match.  This year s event promises to be even more exciting!

ONCE UPON A TIME IN VIETNAM – Lionsgate

A mysterious stranger’s past returns with a vengeance in this martial arts adventure from Vietnam. Master Bao (writer/director Dustin Nguyen) is a lone wolf whose unexpected arrival in a corrupt seaside village ruffles the feathers of the criminals in charge.
